An estimated 1 in 68 (14.6 per 1,000) school-aged children have been identified with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), according to a CDC report Mar 31, 2016.

We've heard it said, if you've met one child with Autism, you've met one child with Autism.  Each child on the Spectrum has a unique set of talents, strengths, needs, and challenges.  We work with parents and children in Virginia Beach to address individual concerns and provide practical suggestions and training tailored to the needs of your child and your family.  We use a variety of techniques to assist family members in Virginia Beach with autism to function at their best, these include developmental play therapy, parent coaching, and neurofeedback.  Many parents in our practice want to know how neurofeedback can help their child with Autism or Asperger's.  We would encourage you to do your own research on the topic.  Websites like EEGInfo.com can provide a great deal of information on the topic.

Whether your child has Autism, Asperger's, PDD-NOS or experiences problems with sensory integration and processing, we provide assistance and guidance at each step of the process from the initial diagnosis, education and coping stages, to aiding families with the transition to adolescence and adulthood.  There is hope and we can help you navigate this journey.

If you also suspect that there may also be a relationship between your child's Autism and infections check out this information on PANDAS.
