ADHD and HYPERACTIVITY - This group is often misdiagnosed even through adulthood, often resulting in a lack of, or inappropriate treatment.  Comprehensive assessment of both children and adults is available in order to assist in determining what treatment is necessary and beneficial.

Asperger's Syndrome/HFA - At the high end of the Pervasive Developmental Disorder continuum lies a condition that is highly misunderstood. Children and adults with this condition rarely receive appropriate diagnosis and treatment. Parents and those with AS/HFA feel great relief when someone understands them. Children suffering from AS/HFA often require a professional advocate to assist in proper diagnosis, educational planning and to provide individual/family therapy.

GIFTED and UNDERACHIEVERS - The needs of this group of children are often neglected. They often report being bored and teachers sometimes view them as behavior problems or "class clowns." Comprehensive evaluations are often extremely valuable in assisting parents in developing programs and finding resources for them to maximize their excellent potential.

BEHAVIORAL and SCHOOL PROBLEMS - The Center for Excellence staff has extensive background in dealing with school related problems and can assist parents in dealing with difficulties at both home and school.

SEPARATION and DIVORCE ISSUES - Divorce related issues can often have a long lasting effect on both children and adults. The staff has been involved in research on a national level to determine the best ways of helping individuals and families that have experienced divorce or separation.

MARITAL, COUPLES and FAMILY ISSUES - The staff firmly believes that families should learn to deal with difficulties. Society mistakenly sends us the message that there is someone around the corner that will be better. This is a myth. Finding the right tools and attitude can bring families and couples back together.

ALCOHOL and SUBSTANCE ABUSE/ACOA - Often called "The Family Disease", substance abuse/ family dysfunction affects other individuals besides the person with the "problem".  The staff works in conjunction with other 12-step related programs to address the variety of issues that arise when recovery is initiated.

ABUSE and TRAUMA - This is a most difficult issue for a family or individual to face. Support and understanding is of the utmost importance in helping individuals and families deal with this painful topic.

MILITARY ISSUES - Frequent moves and long term separation are just two of the factors that add to the difficulties that can have an effect on individuals and families in the military.  It is definitely true that the hardest job in the military is being the wife.

EXECUTIVE ASSESSMENT - In order to assist corporations in filling their top management positions with the most appropriate individual, a comprehensive assessment program has been developed. As a result of a multifaceted assessment process, the best match will be achieved according to state of the art psychometric parameters.

CAREER TRANSITIONS - Most people change jobs between 10 and 12 times in a lifetime.  It can be difficult to make these decisions wisely.  Career decision making and transitions can be smoother with the help of a qualified professional. Sort through your interests, skills, and values to develop goals for increased satisfaction with your career, job, or lifestyle.

STRESS MANAGEMENT - Life can be complicated and experiences can sometimes be overwhelming. Even the most competent among us struggle with stressful situations. The goal of stress management is not to avoid it, but to increase one's ability to handle stress more effectively. While not all stress is bad, in moderate amounts, it is useful.  We can provide guidelines and assist you in developing techniques to find more constructive ways of dealing with distressing situations.

ANGER MANAGEMENT - Anger can cause trouble in one's life and few really know what to do with it. Our training methods for anger management can help you understand the sources, let go of unhealthy anger. And use anger in a more healthy way.
